A Young Lady Who Suffered Severe Orthopaedic Injuries

Back to Case Studies

We acted for a young lady who suffered severe orthopaedic injuries, a closed head injury and facial scarring in a head on car accident. A matter of a few weeks after the accident she suffered a stroke which was caused by cerebral artery thrombosis resulting from internal carotid dissection. It was initially disputed that the stroke was accident related but later medical evidence did establish a causal link. The claim was settled before trial for £215,000.
