Accident At Work - Fall due to poor lighting and maintenance
Our client submitted a personal injury claim as a result of an accident in November 2008. He was employed by the Defendants and during the course of his work, he was descending an external metal fire escape when he fell due to a build up of dirt and/or an unidentifiable mess. In addition, the lighting was poor due to broken lights making visibility difficult.
As a result of the fall, our client suffered a fracture to the fourth metatarsal. He continues to suffer with some ongoing restricted movement and pain.
It was our claim that the Defendants were negligent in that they had failed to maintain the workplace and exposed our client to a foreseeable risk of injury.
Liability was admitted in full and we are currently obtaining medical evidence in support of our client’s claim for personal injuries.
