The Claimant was a driver proceeding into a car park of a supermarket when the Defendant failed to give way and drove into the side of the Claimant's vehicle. Liability was admitted early in the claim.  Claimant sustained an aggravation of pre-existing low back pains and left sciatica problem, with an injury to his right shoulder and neck with associated headaches.  Claimant was treated at A&E and at his GP.   He had to have a course of physiotherapy to ease his symptoms.  The Claimant took 2 weeks off work and lost earnings.  He had to pay an insurance policy excess of £200 and also incurred medication, travel, postage and telephone expenses.  The claim settled for £3871 which included £2880 for his injuries.
