Client injured in parked car receives compensation for injuries.

Back to Case Studies

We are acting for a client who was injured while parked at the side of a road.  Another driver who had overtaken a bus at a bus-stop pulled in too quickly and collided with our client's parked car.  Our client's insurance company provided the details of the third party insurers as our client did not have this information and liability was quickly admitted.  Our client suffered soft tissue injuries to his neck and right shoulder and travel anxiety.  After a medical examination our client's injuries were valued between £1,600 and £1,950.

As a result of the accident our client was also claiming for his policy excess, medication, replacement CDs and aftershave as well as repairing his mobile phone which was damaged.

Our initial offer was rejected, however a counter offer of £2,020 was made which fell within the initial valuation.  After speaking with the driver's insurer and explaining that our client would like to settle quickly and outside of court they increased their offer by over £250 to £2,272 which we have recommended accepting.
