Compensation Awarded As A Result Of An Injury At Football Stadium
The Claimant had been attending a league football match and afterwards was exiting the stadium when he fell, breaking his foot.
The Claimant’s case was that the stewards on duty at the stadium failed to properly monitor and control the flow of football supporters exiting the stadium. Instead, they were trying to channel more than 1500 fans through a single doorway, which resulted in 'bottlenecking' and people pushing and shoving. It was as a result of this ‘bottlenecking’ and the pressure building up in the doorway that the Claimant fell and sustained personal injury.
Liability was admitted in full by the Football League Ltd and the Claimant received £3325.00 in damages within 14 months of us taking the claim on.
