Compensation Awarded For Whiplash Injury
Our client was the driver of a vehicle stationary at a junction when his vehicle was hit in the rear shunting it onto a roundabout. Our client sustained a whiplash injury and had time off work. He suffered from severe neck shoulder and lower back pains. Our client also suffered from travel anxiety making it difficult for him to drive for some weeks.
Our client attended the A&E department the day after the accident, and later consulted his GP. Due to the severity of the pain, he took 9 weeks off work, subsequently returning on lighter duties for one week before returning to his normal duties. Our client was unable to walk his dogs for a couple of weeks, and was restricted in his domestic duties. He undertook a course of physiotherapy and recovered within 18 months of the accident. The claim settled for £6123.15 including £3500.00 for the injuries
