Compensation For Repetitive Strain Injury
We acted for a client who suffered repetitive strain injuries at work. The client worked as a furniture assembler and as part of his duties, he had to use an extremely heavy staple gun for 8 hours a day with only two 20 minute breaks. As a result, our client suffered from pain and limited mobility in his right hand and, to a lesser degree, in his left hand.
We sued the client’s employer who admitted liability. The first medical report we obtained was unfavourable as the medical expert did not link the symptoms to our client’s job. We obtained a second more favourable report from a different expert who confirmed that whilst the symptoms were not caused by the client’s job, his work aggravated his condition.
