Cyclist Hit By Vehicle Emerging From Side Road
We were instructed under a no win no fee agreement in March 2008 for personal injuries sustained by a cyclist in a road traffic accident, when a car emerged from a side road and collided with his cycle.
Our client sustained injuries including a strain injury to his wrist and shoulder, and bruising to his leg. A medical report was obtained which confirmed that he would recover fully within 6 months of the accident.
Following physiotherapy our client indeed recovered fully.
The third party insurers made a maximum offer of £2,140.00 and we consequently issued Court Proceedings in February 2009.
The claim proceeded to trial in July 2009 where our client was awarded £4,001.37 including an award for loss of earnings and domestic care and assistance, and witness expenses for attending trial.
