Employer's Liability Case

Back to Case Studies

We have recently completed a case for a client who was injured in an accident at work.

The client worked as a customer service assistant for Sainsburys. He was transporting a metal cage full of milk cartons when one of the wheels became caught on a cracked paving slab and toppled over. He suffered ligament damage to his wrist as a result.

The client was initially thought to have suffered a possible scaphoid fracture but a subsequent MRI scan confirmed the presence of a ligamentous injury and a tear of the triangular fibro-cartilage in his wrist. The client subsequently underwent an arthroscopy and repair of the tear with a 95% improvement.

Liability was admitted by Sainsburys. They also took steps to repair the area by tarmaccing over the cracked paving slabs.

The client received £9,823.00 for his injuries and loss of earnings.
