Holiday Injury
We acted for a lady who was injured whilst on holiday with her family in Cyprus. She was having a game of table tennis in the hotel when the table suddenly collapsed injuring her leg. The rest of her holiday was ruined by hospital visits and the need to elevate and rest her leg.
We acted for her in claiming compensation from the tour operator under the Package Holiday Regulations, arguing that the operator was liable for the hotel’s negligence in providing a faulty table-tennis table for use by the guests.
Initially the claim was firmly rejected but we eventually persuaded the operator’s insurers to admit full liability. Following negotiations our client received £5,857 compensation plus full legal costs.
