Liability Case

Back to Case Studies

Two clients, one driver and his passenger.

They were driving towards a junction at the end of their street when a vehicle reversed round the corner in front of them and collided with the front of their vehicle.

Initially, the Defendant’s insurers denied liability in the matter stating that it was too low a speed to have caused any accident or injury.

However, after a lot of correspondence and discussions the Defendant’s insurers were left with no option but to concede liability in the matter, although this was some 7 months from the accident.

The case has not fully concluded for either client as yet but we are now in the throws of negotiating settlement and envisage that this will settle without the need for Court proceedings within the next few months bringing the case to a satisfactory conclusion within 12 months of the commencement of the claim.
