"No win - No fee" Cyclist Awarded 100% Compensation For Injuries Sustained in Road Traffic Accident
We were instructed by Stewart Rogers under a no win no fee agreement in March 2008 for personal injuries he sustained as a cyclist in a road traffic accident, when a car emerged from a side road and collided with his cycle.
Stewart sustained injuries including a strain injury to his wrist and shoulder, and bruising to his leg. A medical report was obtained which confirmed that he would recover fully within 6 months of the accident.
Following physiotherapy Stewart indeed recovered fully.
The third party insurers made a maximum offer of £2,140.00 and we consequently issued Court Proceedings in February 2009.
The claim proceeded to trial in July 2009 where Stewart was awarded £4,001.37 including an award for loss of earnings and domestic care and assistance, and witness expenses for attending trial.
