Passenger Injured By Driver
We are dealing with a case whereby our client was a passenger in a vehicle that was trying to park. Our client suggested that she get out of the vehicle in order to aid the driver when parking. Before our client had chance to get fully out of the vehicle, the driver started to drive which caused our client to fall and she sustained an injury.
Our client sustained a fracture to her right knee.
Liability has been admitted and so we proceeded to get the client examined by an orthopaedic surgeon with a review of the client’s medical notes. The report confirmed that there is a risk that the client may develop degenerative arthritic changes within her right knee as a result of the accident.
The client required a lot of care and assistance from her daughter and so we have taken a statement from the daughter regarding the care and prepared a schedule of loss so that we can adequately value the client’s claim.
