Poorly Secured Board Hits Travelling Vehicle

Back to Case Studies

The client was driving past a derelict pub in her motor vehicle, when a large board that was surrounding the property  flew off into the air due to high winds and slammed into her vehicle with force. This caused the client's vehicle to jerk suddenly to the right and she struck her right hip on the car door, sustaining a soft tissue injury to her pelvis in the process.

We were instructed by the client to bring an personal injury claim on a 'no win, no fee' basis and the Defendants admitted fault for the accident, conceding that they had failed to adequately secure the boards that surrounded the derelict pub.

As a result, we successfully recovered compensation of £6000.00 for the client.
