As a shopper, you are a lawful visitor to the shop premises and are therefore entitled to expect that the shop owner or supermarket will provide you with a safe environment. Unfortunately our experience has shown that not all shops and supermarkets fulfil this duty of care to their customers, which can often result in injury and financial loss.

Most accidents in shops and supermarkets result from people slipping, tripping or falling. This may be due to wet floors, produce or spillages left lying on the floor or obstacles left in the aisles. If we can show that the shop or supermarket was responsible for your injuries, you may be entitled to make a claim for compensation.

Shops and supermarkets are expected to take reasonable precautions for the safety of their customers. If they have failed to clear a spillage quickly enough, or to sufficiently warn you of a wet floor surface, the shops owner has not kept you reasonable safe whilst on their premises and you may be entitled to claim for any injuries suffered.
